In the premium CloudFlare add-on packages, SiteGround has announced two significant improvements. Initially, for cloud fare add-on – the SSL certificates and support was rendered with some partnership called Let’s Encrypt. But now as a recent improvement, SiteGround has provided SSL support as completely as free on each signup and along with this, you can find a great addition to CloudFlare’s web application in the plus plan.
Because of this two amazing options, any one can enable the flexible SSL which means encryption between CloudFlare server and the browser easily. Even you avail the Full Strict SSL setting which requires SSL at the background. The great thing about this new improvement is the additional introduction of the Web Application Firewall as part of the Plus Plan. On each trigger of Web Application Firewall, you will get a detailed breakdown on the CloudFlare.
The WAF gives protection for the website against the OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities such as Injection Broken Authentication, Session Management, Security of sensitive data, etc. Also, it is supplemented by 148 built-in firewall rules which can be applied with a single click that covers almost all the popular web applications. For example, we routinely stop anywhere between 10 and 500 visits a day with our WAF, with occasional spikes caused by hacking attempts that run into 1000s of visits in an hour. Just take a look at the following screenshot of our current WAF entries.
