As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of various construction projects.

Note, this role will be mostly in-office with occasional site visits throughout the month.


Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. This role requires effective project management techniques, problem-solving capabilities, and the capability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project scopes, goals, and deliverables. Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution. Optimize resource allocation to meet project goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
  • Budget Management: Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial parameters. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to maintain budget compliance.
  • Schedule Oversight: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical milestones and potential schedule risks. Take proactive measures to address deviations and keep the project on track.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure construction activities adhere to quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols. Implement quality control processes and inspections to maintain project integrity.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risk factors throughout the project lifecycle to minimize disruptions.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication between project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management. Provide regular progress updates and address any concerns or changes.
  • Change Management: Evaluate change requests and assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget. Make informed decisions and implement changes as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze project-related challenges and develop effective solutions to ensure project goals are met. Address unforeseen issues promptly and professionally.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM) are a plus.
